Design Hive Cambridge
The next two Design Hives that Jute and Jackfruit will attend are on Sunday November 1, 2009 and Sunday December 6, 2009. Design Hive is an up and coming local market for independent designers, artists and others in the Cambridge and Boston area. Set to a DJ, the market hosts different designers/exhibitors each week, so its worth stopping by more than once. Design Hive is located in between the Porter Square and Harvard Square Stops on the Redline, one block off of Mass Ave. Location: Maria Baldwin School, Cambridge, MA 02138. Timing: 10am - 5pm.

Speaking Engagements: Jute and Jackfruit's founder, Shana Yansen, is a strong advocate for environmentally and socially conscious fashion. She is an innovator in the Boston-area for bringing some of the most contemporary eco-friendly, organic and ethical styles to the region. Shana is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Honduras and worked throughout South Asia and Latin America before starting Jute and Jackfruit. Shana would be happy to speak at your school, event or panel on topics relating to eco-fashion, ethical fashion, fair trade, organic textiles and sustainable businesses.
